Snowman Wind Chime

I was looking for a quick, easy, cute, inexpensive, girl AND boy-friendly (yeah, I want it all) craft for the 4-H kids in the age range of 7 thru 16. There are a lot of things out there--but not many that fit all those criteria. Oh, and the craft should be something we haven't done before (or at least not for the last couple years). Since I've been the main craft mentor forever, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel on ideas. But if I do say so myself, this Snowman Wind Chime is one of my better ideas.

The Supplies:

Cost: $3 a kid (All floral items were half off at our local Hobby Lobby; gotta love that!)

Quick: Start to finish was about 1 hour (At least it is only an hour as long as you don't glob the paint on too thick. There is always ONE that does this. And yes, he is the same one each time. )

Skill Level: Pretty easy. Moms did have to help with the stringing and knotting, but mainly because the process is just easier with two sets of hands.

Boys AND girls gave it a Thumbs-Up.

Cute? Yeah, I think so too.

My idea for next month is already in the works; I'll share when I get it all together.
